Meet the Team

At Remillard Huynh & Barbour, we recognize the value of having a strong legal support team, and we are fortunate to have very experienced, caring, and hard-working team members. In addition to our legal assistant and legal secretary described below, we are also supported by an office manager, receptionist, and two bookkeepers.

Bonnie Hillman

Born and raised in lower Kalihi, Bonnie Hillman, fka Bonnie Yonemura, is a graduate of Farrington High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree in secondary education with a major in social studies and a minor in English.  Bonnie started her professional career at Pacific Savings and Loan which was later bought by American Savings and Loan.  She left American Savings after working there for eight years to become a full time mother.  

Then when her children were older and disaster struck in the guise of Hurricane Iniki, Bonnie resumed her career with the Small Business Administration, Legal Department where she worked processing loans for those affected by the hurricane.  Once the SBA closed down their office in Hawaii, Bonnie sought to continue working in the legal field helping others and was hired by Park Kim Yu & Remillard to work as Larry Remillard’s legal assistant in 1994.  Since then Bonnie has worked as a legal assistant under Larry Remillard and later also under Don Huynh in a wide variety of civil cases.
